About the Person
Charlotte Decker is the VP and CTO for the Auto Club Group. She has responsibility for strategy, standards, architecture design, engineering, implementation and ITIL operations for the Auto Club Group infrastructure environment. Her organizational scope includes personal computing, servers, mainframes, storage, directories, data and voice networks, and telephony across three major data centers. Decker has more than 25 years of experience across in the insurance, automotive OEM, specialty retail, and tier-one automotive supplier industries. She has managed large organizations and multi-million dollar capital and expense budgets. While at Ford as the senior manager of infrastructure services, Decker was instrumental in leading efforts within IT around work-life balance and job sharing in management positions. In her role as VP of application development and support at Borders Group, she was on the Board of Directors for the Borders Foundation. In 2005 while working as GM’s director of global computing, Decker was awarded the Top Michigan Women in Computing leadership honor from the Association for Women in Computing and featured in the 2013 Detroit Free Press article “Love of science, math leads Auto Club VP to computer career”. Decker has been the VP for the Michigan Council of Women in Technology (MCWT) Foundation since 2010. The MCWT Foundation provides IT based programs for girls and young women in college. She holds an MBA in corporate strategy, an MSE and BSE in computer engineering, all from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
