Charles F. Kahle, II has been the Chief Technology Officer of PPG Industries Inc. since December 2008 and has been its Vice President of Coatings Research and Development since October 1, 2007. Mr. Kahle served as Director, Coatings Research and Development at PPG Industries Inc. Mr. Kahle joined PPG in 1987 as a Research Associate in Coatings. He worked in the electrodeposition and central research groups and served as Group leader for automotive parts and accessories coatings development. He held key technical leadership roles in PPG`s chemicals and glass technology centers before assuming his position as Technology Leader for coatings in 2004. Mr. Kahle earned his doctorate in Organic Chemistry at the University of Illinois. .
