The University of Arkansas boasts a tradition unique among the nation`s universities: Senior Walk, consisting of more than three miles of sidewalks crisscrossing campus that are engraved with the names of more than 170,000 graduates, dating back nearly 140 years. It`s concrete proof of the university`s commitment to our students.
Cathleen Middleton, associate CIO, has announced her retirement effective September 8, 2015, after serving for 36 years at the University of Arkansas in various roles in IT Services. Middleton earned a B.S. from the University of Arkansas in computer science in December of 1978 as a member of one of the first classes to graduate in the new major. She changed her major from math to industrial engineering and then to computer science because she thought it could prepare her for a career with NASA.
