Founded in 1946, Mohawk Valley Community College is a public, co-educational, two-year institution. The College is a unit of the sixty-four campus State University of New York System (SUNY). MVCC provides accessible, high-quality educational opportunities to meet the diverse needs of its students. As the community`s college, MVCC is committed to student success through partnerships, transfer and career pathways, and personal enrichment. The College, which spans two campuses – one in Utica and another in Rome – offers 90 degree and certificate options for its enrollment of 6,000 full- and part-time students. MVCC also serves an additional 6,000 people through its corporate and community education programs, and its campuses welcome more than 50,000 people annually for community events. MVCC and its partners in the community also collaborate to offer programs in the region`s neighborhoods, such as thINCubator and an Educational Opportunity Center.
