To make the description totally accurate, we would have to add "...AND WE DO THEM VERY WELL!" We continue to make traditional favorites like sour cream, French onion and spinach dips, and gelatins in many flavors, shapes, and sizes. But, we are constantly looking for new products to appeal to new customers in new markets. So, while we hope you will continue to buy our strawberry swirl ring-molds, we want you to also try our layered fiesta dips, our cheesecakes, and our mousses. The Hispanic market continues to grow at a rapid pace and we continue to grow with it. Our "Luisa`s" brand has been a significant part of our company for many years. Now, we also sell under the brand names "Margarita`s", "Senor Rico", "Angelica`s", and "Hispania". The range of products also continues to grow with the addition of several flavors and types of flan, tres leches, and a wide assortment of Hispanic gelatin products. Our products can be found throughout the country as we service our customers from manufacturing facilities in Ohio, Wisconsin, and California. This geographic flexibility allows us to provide fresher products faster. We serve the refrigerated departments of the supermarkets along with food service, convenience stores, and warehouse clubs. We are proud that our creative product development, innovative packaging, and modern technology have allowed us to satisfy some of the world`s finest retailers. We have come a long way since that day in 1988 when we started with one customer and just a few employees. 2017 marked the proud 80th anniversary of the Kawartha Dairy Company, a 100% Canadian, 100% family owned company. For over 80 years, Kawartha Dairy has been proud to be a 100% Canadian-owned company, still operated by the same family that started it back in the beginning. Although it has grown tremendously from its early days, it remains headquartered in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, where it was founded. In 1937 Jack and Ila Crowe took a leap of faith and bought a small dairy in Bobcaygeon. Jack had learned the trade while working for Oshawa Dairy but the newly renamed Kawartha Dairy didn`t bear much resemblance to that larger big city firm. At that time it consisted of a small, simple three room building, where the cold storage area was cooled with ice cut from the lake.
