Bret L. Jacobs joined Loyola University New Orleans in 1998 and currently serves as its Vice Provost for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. Mr. Jacobs directs all aspects of Information Technology at Loyola including Computer and Network Support, Information Management, Client Services, Distributed Systems, Telecommunications and Classroom Technology. As CIO, Mr. Jacobs is also responsible for the University's technology planning. Prior to joining Loyola, Mr. Jacobs worked in Systems Development and in Information Technology Administration for 18 years. Mr. Jacobs holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of New Orleans.
