Eden Prairie, MN-based XRS Corporation has Promoted Brendan Reidy as Chief Technology Officer
Since 1985, we've been at the forefront of the development of technologies and services that have brought the power of science to the North American trucking industry. Along the way we created intuitive automated solutions that improve operations by integrating operational and performance data with billing, payroll, routing and compliance systems. And we pioneered mobile fleet optimization, a revolution that's literally putting the power of technology - what we call Road Science - in the palm of every trucker's hand. Embracing change for the better has always been in our DNA, and now it's time to embrace a change that clearly signals our new energy and direction. On August 13, 2012, Xata Corporation became XRS Corporation. It's a new name for a new focus, proudly honoring our Xata history while reflecting our 100% commitment to Road Science - and to XRS - our breakthrough mobile technology platform.
Brendan Reidy joined XRS in March 2013 as president and chief operating officer, and added Chief Technology Officer to his role in October 2013. Reidy oversees the development, product management, long-term product strategy, product marketing, information systems, quality assurance, customer support, supply chain and human resources departments. Brendan was hired to focus on scalability and growth as XRS launches its new mobile strategy and platform. He came to XRS with a deep background as a leader of technology companies and ventures. Brendan will driver operational improvement and put in place processes and systems that will enable XRS to achieve the scale of growth we expect and aim for. Brendan is the former chairman and CEO of Clarus Systems in Redwood City, CA. He has held executive-level positions at Qwest Communications/US West, Litton Integrated Automation and Software Alliance Corp. In addition, he has served as a director of several technology companies including eGistics, Arantech, Evolving Systems and Greenbrier & Russel. In addition, he is a venture partner at Trident Capital. Brendan received an A.B. in Political Science from Stanford University, and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
