Founded in 1978, the Washington Agriculture and Forestry Education Foundation (AgForestry) is a leadership development program for adults working within and connected to Washington State`s agriculture, forestry, and fishing industries. Strong leadership is vital to maintaining healthy farms, forests, near-shore environments, and rural communities. This is where the AgForestry Leadership Program comes in. We help our leaders to develop critical skills for and a better understanding of natural resources and rural communities of Washington State.
Liberty, is the Montgomery County Chapter of NYSARC, Inc. a statewide advocacy organization serving people with disabilities through its 55 member Chapters. Our mission: We work together to support people with disabilities and others in need to achieve a quality of life each person values. Our values — Quality, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, Resourcefulness and Person-Centered — form the foundation of all our endeavors. The Montgomery County Chapter was founded in 1957 by parents of children with developmental disabilities who wished to establish special education programs in the local community. Over the last 54 years, the organization has grown to include vocational, residential, day, family support and health-related services.
Triad Goodwill operates retail stores, Community Resource Centers, and Career Centers to serve Alamance, Caswell, Guilford, Randolph and Rockingham Counties. Triad Goodwill collects donated items, sells them in stores, and uses the revenue to fund job training and career services. Our Community Resource Centers and Career Centers offer resume assistance, computer training, career counseling, job search assistance, evaluations, vocational skills classes, and many other services to unemployed and underemployed job seekers, vocational rehabilitation clients, department of social services clients, and other local residents. Mission: Goodwill Industries of Central North Carolina, Inc. promotes the value of work by providing career development services and work opportunities for people with employment needs. At the Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation (MMRF), we have been actively investigating the causes of and potential treatments for diseases since 1952. We support and oversee the medical research conducted at Hennepin County Medical Center, an acute care research and teaching hospital located in downtown Minneapolis. In an academic environment that emphasizes patient care, research, and teaching, MMRF helps offer patients better care now and hope for improved healthcare in the future. MMRF is the third largest medical research non-profit in Minnesota and ranks in the top seven percent nationally of all institutions receiving research grants from the National Institutes of Health. While public monies support a majority of our research, our work would not be possible without the support of corporate and individual donors. MMRF has undergone a rigorous process to earn accreditation from the leading, independent organizations that accredit institutions that conduct medical research trials on human subjects—the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP), and animal subjects—the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC). Earning accreditation from these organizations is indicative of our commitment to maintaining the highest level of ethical standards and practices in our medical research programs.
