For nearly 70 years, heathy stable families have been at the heart of Lifetrack. As a leading non-profit organization with offices in St. Paul, Minneapolis and Rochester (MN), we work together to develop the strengths within children, adults and families who are navigating life`s greatest challenges. We reduce disparities on the ground level, working to empower those who experience the most barriers to success. Every day, our work makes our community stronger through a unique family-centered approach that helps 40,000 Minnesotans put hope within reach and create a better life for themselves and their families. Stabilizing Families When adults have sustainable employment, they create stability for themselves and provide a solid foundation for the next generation. Each year, Lifetrack helps 1,400 people with disabilities, immigrants and refugees, and people experiencing poverty launch and develop careers that are meaningful to them. Empowering Parents A strong and nurturing parent fulfills the central role in a child’s growth and happiness. Lifetrack offers parenting education and connections to community resources for over 1,500 families experiencing poverty or families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Over 35,000 adults seek our educational resources to balance work and family demands. Fostering Resilience in Children Children are resilient when they are able to move forward after facing minor setbacks, daily challenges, or even a traumatic event. Lifetrack helps over 260 children each year who experience the stresses of poverty find their strengths and prepare for kindergarten. We help over 1,400 children who are deaf or hard of hearing build confidence with role models, American Sign Language instruction, and community support.
The mission of the Florida State University Foundation is to enhance the academic vision and priorities of Florida State University through its organized fundraising activities and funds management. Established in 1960, the Foundation, a nonprofit corporation, today manages an endowment of more than $470 million and has total assets exceeding $600 million (as of September 30, 2014). The Foundation is governed by an elected Board of Trustees, whose members serve as advocates for the University, its colleges, programs and units. Foundation board members are professionals from many walks of life, and they are committed to building successful partnerships with FSU and its many generous supporters.
Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana began working on the streets of New Orleans soon after our national organization was founded in 1896. The first mission of these pioneers was helping women and children in poverty. Always extending a hand up, Volunteers of America has evolved over the decades to meet our area`s deepest human needs.
