Cambridge, MA-based JumpTap has appointed Bob Hammond as Chief Technology Officer.

 

About the Company

Established in 2005, JumpTap is the leader in targeted mobile advertising. Reaching 95 million mobile users in the U.S. and 142 million mobile users worldwide, JumpTap uses its extensive technology portfolio, as well as industry-first partnerships with third- party data providers, to understand mobile audiences better than any other ad network and provide intelligent targeting with scale.

 

About the Person

Prior to joining Xaxis, Bob Hammond was chief technology officer at mobile ad company Millennial Media (AOL) where he led the development, research, architecture and technical operations teams. He joined Millennial Media from mobile start-up JumpTap when it was acquired by Millennial. At JumpTap, Hammond served as chief technology officer, playing a central role in launching the industry’s first programmatic marketplace for mobile ads. Earlier, Hammond was vice president of engineering at Yahoo! where he ran platform engineering for the company’s Video Platform and Syndication Group, helping to grow Yahoo’s offering into one of the world’s largest video marketplaces.
