About the Person
As Chief Technology Officer Bill Perlowitz is responsible for conception, development, and implementation of STG's technical vision, communities of practice, and solutions. Mr. Perlowitz manages STG's team of solution architects as well as internal IT and process departments while leveraging technical experts throughout the organization to deliver high-value, low-risk mission solutions. Mr. Perlowitz brings more than 30 years of dynamic technical and management leadership in support of Federal departments and agencies. He possesses outstanding strategic and tactical skills and extensive expertise in developing and delivering service offerings that align technology with mission-critical objectives. Mr. Perlowitz is a resourceful problem-solver with demonstrated talent for quickly identifying and resolving complex challenges. As a visionary who is a catalyst for organic growth within the STG organization, Mr. Perlowitz has served as Chairman of TechAmerica's Big Data Committee which educates policy makers, Federal Government marketplace, and customers about accessing large repositories of data to uncover trends, statistics, and other actionable information, and as Vice Chair for the Big Data Commission, providing guidance on how Government Agencies should leverage Big Data to address their most critical business imperatives and drive U.S. innovation and competitiveness. Mr. Perlowitz has also served as Chairman of TechAmerica's committee on Public Sector Cloud Computing, which focuses on standards development, certification and accreditation, and Government-wide adoption of cloud computing services and as Deputy Commissioner for the Commission on the Leadership Opportunity in U.S. Deployment of the Cloud (CLOUD2). Prior to joining STG, Mr. Perlowitz was Chief Technologist of Wyle's Science, Technology, and Engineering Group, Vice President of Advanced Technology at URS Apptis, CTO of Reliable Integration Services, and had worked for United Technologies Sikorsky Aircraft and IBM's Federal Sector Division.
