Choctaw, MS-based Pearl River Resort has Appointed Bill Burtch as Chief Information Officer
Pearl River Resort, located in Choctaw, Mississippi, is the southern United States’ first comprehensive luxury gaming resort. The resort features Silver Star and Golden Moon, two exciting hotel/casinos with nearly 2,400 slot machines, 59 table games, 1,074 hotel rooms, European spa facilities, dining, shopping and live entertainment. Also featured is Dancing Rabbit Golf Club, with two championship golf courses and Geyser Falls Water Theme Park. Bok Homa Casino, located in Sandersville, MS, is the latest addition to Pearl River Resort. This impressive new 27,000-square-foot facility features over 750 slot machines a fabulous quick serve eatery called Lucky’s. Pearl River Resort / Choctaw Resort Development Enterprise is a development of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, a federally recognized, self-governing tribe with over 10,000 members living on or near reservation land.
Information Systems Technology veteran, Bill Burtch has over 30 years of experience and a broad range of expertise including casino operations, CRM, application development, IT security and strategic planning. He has worked at various gaming entities in California, Nevada, and Mississippi. Bill most recently served as Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Innovation and Technology for Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. In this role, he was instrumental in concurrently upgrading the casino management system and converting outdated software to Infinium for the largest casino resort in Northern Nevada. He also served as Vice President of Information Technology for Thunder Valley Casino Resort. He has worked at Harrah’s Entertainment for twenty years, holding various leadership positions including Regional Director of IT (Mid-South). In his new role, he will oversee all aspects of information technology for the Resort.
