About the Person
Bennett joined FirstEnergy in 2006 as vice president, Information Technology/Corporate Security and chief information officer. Prior to his service to FirstEnergy, Bennett served as vice president and chief information officer at Cinergy Corporation where he was responsible for the delivery of all IT services and telecommunications/network operations. Before joining Cinergy in 2003, Bennett was managing director, Business Services, at Powergen plc, and served as corporate director, Supply Chain, for LG&E Energy Corp., a Powergen subsidiary. From 1998-2000, he was employed by EDS Corporation. He was appointed to his current position in 2012.
