About the Person
Ashish K. Kulkarni, Ph.D., is Avantor`s Chief Technology and Innovation Officer & Executive Vice President, Electronic Materials. He provides executive leadership for all of the company`s growth and innovation activities, including Research & Development, Strategic Marketing and Pipeline Management. He also provides business leadership for Avantor`s global Electronic Materials business. Kulkarni has more than two decades of international experience in driving advancements in technology and innovation. Prior to joining Avantor, Kulkarni held positions within Celanese Corporation, a global technology and specialty materials company, serving most recently as Chief Technology & Innovation Officer. Prior to that time, he served as Vice President R&D for the Advanced Engineering Materials and Emulsions business units at Celanese. Before joining Celanese, Kulkarni served as Vice President, Global Engineering, Building Systems & Services Divisions, for United Technologies Corporation, which provides high-technology systems and services for the aerospace and building industries. In his career, Kulkarni also has served in various leadership roles with American Standard and General Electric Company. Kulkarni holds doctorate and master`s degrees in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York, and he holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering from Osmania University, India.
