West Sacramento, CA-based California State Teachers Retirement System has Appointed Ashish Jain as Chief Technology Officer
With a 156 billion investment portfolio, the California State Teachers' Retirement System is the second-largest public pension fund in the United States.
Ashish Jain has more than 16 years of experience in senior IT leadership positions, in both the private and public sectors. He has more than eight years of experience in California state government, holding technical leadership positions at both the California Public Employees’ Retirement System and the Department of General Services. Most recently, Mr. Jain served as the Deputy Chief Information Officer for California Correctional Health Care Services where he was responsible for the oversight of the agency’s information technology architecture, applications, governance, policies and strategic planning. Educated in India, Mr. Jain holds a Bachelor of Science in physics, chemistry and mathematics from Agra University and a Master of Science in computer applications from the Institute of Basic Science. In addition, he is a TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) Certified Architect. TOGAF is an enterprise architecture methodology and framework used to improve business efficiency.
