About the Person
Andy Twigg is an expert in Big Data algorithmics. Until recently, he was a computer science research fellow at Oxford University in Big Data, with particular interest in distributed, streaming, approximate and large-scale machine learning algorithms. He was co-founder and CTO of Acunu, a startup doing real-time Big Data analytics with Cassandra. He has a PhD from Cambridge, and has worked at industrial research labs including Microsoft Research and Thomson (now Technicolor) Research. He is also a founder of featurestream.io, a service for streaming predictive analytics.
