Ranked among the top 10 school districts in the nation for its use of blended learning programs by Edgenuity, an online provider of education solutions. Named 2015 Advance Placement District of the year by the College Board for expanding access to Advanced Placement courses while improving AP Exam performance. U.S. Department of Education selected two CCSD schools as 2015 National Blue Ribbon Schools for their overall excellence among only 335 public and private schools recognized nationwide. Newsweek ranked 5 CCSD high schools among the best in the nation. Magnet Schools of America recognized 17 CCSD magnet schools for their outstanding programs and overall excellence. 13 of the 17 CCSD schools received the highest designation possible from MSA -"Magnet School of Excellence!" Las Vegas Academy of the Arts has 12 Grammy awards under its belt- more than any other school in the nation!
Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, leadership development organization working to end the injustice of educational inequity by inspiring and supporting a diverse set of leaders with classroom experience to engage civically and politically. Through one-on-one coaching, fellowships, workshops, and resources, LEE works to develop and inspire its members individually and collectively, across all disciplines – as policy makers, advocates, elected leaders and community organizers. LEE membership is free and currently open to all TFA corps members and alumni. LEE believes that when a diverse group of leaders, grounded in their classroom experience, are in leadership roles, they will serve as a transformative force for and with students, communities and the broader movement for educational equity. LEE is a diverse team of passionate and talented individuals committed to making a difference. We are a high-growth, results-oriented organization that operates in an entrepreneurial environment deeply invested in continuous improvement.
