Since the early 1990`s, the YOC has provided a safe place for youth and families with severe challenges. Since then, thousands of children and families have been helped by YOC staff members who dedicated themselves to making a difference in a child`s life. YOC`s nine residential cottages, the juvenile detention center, outpatient counseling clinic and the psychiatric residential treatment center provide comprehensive behavioral health services to more than 60 counties in Indiana and more than 200 youth on a daily basis. The Youth Opportunity Center is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) which demands the highest standards of best practices in behavioral health services for youth and families. YOC doesn`t stop at this accreditation and is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) which establishes the highest standards for doctoral level psychologist in a training environment.
