Founded in 1961, Theatre Communications Group`s mission is to strengthen, nurture, and promote the professional nonprofit theatre. TCG`s membership includes over 750 Theatres and Affiliates and 12,000 individuals nationwide. Led by the core values of Artistry, Diversity, Activism, and Global Citizenship, TCG offers networking, knowledge building, grantmaking, performing arts advocacy, capacity building, professional development, and conducts research to assess the field`s changing needs. TCG strengthens the theatre ecology through the publication of American Theatre and its TCG Books program, which has over 3,000 titles in print, including 15 Pulitzer Prize-winning plays.
