As the product line expanded to integrate with fire and alarm systems, Matrix began to manufacture and install badge readers in an early iteration of our access control system. When Mr. Young passed away in 1990, his wife, Joyce Young assumed leadership before passing Matrix ownership to their son, James Young, who is currently the sole shareholder.
