Founded in 1898, Northeastern is a global, experiential, research university built on a tradition of engagement with the world, creating a distinctive approach to education and research. HACC, Central Pennsylvania`s Community College, is the first and largest of Pennsylvania`s 15 community colleges. HACC offers approximately 100 career and transfer associate degree, certificate and diploma programs to approximately 14,023 students. Also, the College serves students at its Gettysburg, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon and York campuses; through virtual learning; and via workforce development and continuing education training.
Founded in 1966, Lehigh Carbon Community College served 9,600 credit and 4,600 noncredit students in 2016-17 from Lehigh, Carbon, Schuylkill and surrounding counties and offered more than 90 programs of study in business, education, communication, computer science, technology, humanities, health care, science, engineering and math. From the main campus in Schnecksville and modern sites in Allentown, Tamaqua, Jim Thorpe and Lehigh Valley International Airport, Lehigh Carbon offers two-year associate degrees, certificate and specialized diploma programs, and workforce training for students studying either full-time, part-time or online.
ounded in 1860, New York Medical College (NYMC) is one of the oldest and largest health sciences colleges in the U.S. with more than 1,400 students, 1,300 residents and clinical fellows, nearly 3,000 faculty members, and 16,000 living alumni. The College, which joined the Touro College and University System in 2011, is located in Westchester County, New York, and offers advanced degrees from the School of Medicine, the Graduate School of Basic Medical Sciences, and the School of Health Sciences and Practice. The College manages more than $32.6 million in research and other sponsored programs, notably in the areas of cancer, cardiovascular disease, infectious diseases, kidney disease, the neurosciences, disaster medicine, and vaccine development. With a network of affiliated hospitals that includes large urban medical centers, small suburban clinics and high-tech regional tertiary care facilities, NYMC provides a wide variety of clinical training opportunities throughout the tristate region for medical students, residents, and other health providers.
A two year accredited college located in Central New Jersey, Ocean County College - or OCC - has educational centers all over Ocean County. Currently, there are almost 10,000 student enrolled in courses. Famous alumni include rockers Bruce Springsteen and wrestler Mike Bucci.
