Panoro Minerals Ltd. (TSXV: PML)(Frankfurt: PZM)(BVL: PML) Panoro is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on exploring large-potential copper/gold projects in Peru where there is excellent geological potential and the right political and economic conditions. The company holds a large portfolio of properties that includes 13 properties in the Andahuaylas-Yauri province in Southern Peru as well as one polymetallic project in the Northwest. Panoro holds a strong commitment to working with Peruvian individuals, communities and businesses. The company has built a strong reputation in the Peruvian communities in which they operate and has signed a number of community agreements with the local Peruvian indigenous people. Panoro has a head office in Vancouver, BC, and a Peruvian office in Lima Peru.
Saint Jean Carbon (TSX:V-SJL) (formerly Torch River Resources) is working towards acquiring a series of lump graphite properties in order to transform the Company into a 100% pure play lump graphite mining company. The Company will work towards being the number one lump graphite producer in North America. With an experienced management team in place, the project will work thorough sampling programs with customers worldwide, to assure quality of material. The Walker Mine is a past-producing graphite mine and positive metallurgical test results — best result, 99.1% Carbon, given the strong results, the Company commenced a full geologic development program in October 2013 with a preliminary beep mapping survey to examine for conductors. The program will be followed by an airborne EM survey shortly thereafter. The results of the program will aid in the creation of an initial historical NI 43-101 report on Walker (to include the Wallingford and St. Jovite properties). The Han Tal Project, described by the Sri Lankan Geological Survey and Mining Bureau as comprising some of the best graphite areas in the country, were originally artisanal mining operations in the 1920’s and 1930’s. Saint Jean Carbon estimates that the mines could be re-activated within 12 to 24 months following the completion of a resource estimate and receipt of a positive economic feasibility study to support the viability of the mines. Management anticipates to begin preparations for a NI 43-101 Technical Report in the coming months.
NanoStruck Technologies Inc. is a Canadian Company with a suite of technologies that remove molecular sized particles using patented absorptive organic polymers. These versatile biomaterials are derived from crustacean shells or plant fibers, depending on requirements of their usage. Acting as molecular sponges, the nanometer-sized polymers are custom programmed to absorb specific particles for remediation or retrieval purposes. These could be to clean out unwanted materials like acids, hydrocarbons, pathogens, oils and toxins in water via its NanoPure solutions or conversely, to recover wanted and precious metal particles in mine tailings, such as gold, silver, platinum, palladium and rhodium using the Company’s NanoMet solutions. By using patented modifications to conventional technologies and adding polymer-based nano-filtration, the Company offers environmentally safe NanoPure solutions for water purification. The Company uses Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines as a benchmark for water quality and safety to conform to acceptable agricultural or drinking water standards in jurisdictions where the technology is used. Additionally, the Company’s technology can be used to recover precious and base metals from mine tailings, which are the residual material from earlier mining activities. By retrieving valuable metals from old tailing dumps, the Company’s NanoMet solutions boosts the value of existing mining assets and reduces the need for new, costly and potentially environmentally harmful exploration and mining. The company’s NanoPure technology was first deployed to treat wastewater from a landfill site in January 2012 in Mexico. It has since been successfully treating and producing clean water there that’s certified by Conagua, the federal water commission of Mexico. The Company’s current business model is based on either selling water remediation plants or leasing out units and charging customers on a price per litre basis with a negotiated minimum payment per annum. For processing mine tailings, the value of precious metal recovered is shared with tailing site owners on a pre-agreed basis.
Sandspring Resources Ltd is a Canadian-listed junior gold mining company leading the responsible development of South America`s emerging western Guyana gold district. Focused on bringing into production its 100%-owned 4.1 million ounce Toroparu Gold Project, Sandspring continues to explore its 98,214-hectare concession with the aim of realizing the geologic potential of this highly prospective, mining-friendly jurisdiction. The Toroparu Gold Deposit lies within a mineralized corridor that is approximately 2.7 km long, 200 m to 400 m wide, and over 400 m deep. Ore from the deposit will be mined from a conventional open pit that the Company expects to have operational by 2016. The ore processing facility will consist of separate leaching and flotation circuits that produce both gold doré bars that will be flown off-site, and gold-bearing copper concentrates for shipment to a custom smelter. This facility is expected to process an initial throughput of 19,000 tons per day, and increase to 22,500 tons per day in its fourth year of production.
