Matrix Systems was founded in 1979 by D. James Young, who led the company from regional energy management systems provider to nationally-recognized leader in resource management. As the product line expanded to integrate with fire and alarm systems, Matrix began to manufacture and install badge readers in an early iteration of our access control system.
