The YMCA of Los Angeles has been making a positive impact in our communities for over 130 years. Our 25 branches stretch across over 100 miles of Los Angeles County, from Antelope Valley to San Pedro. Our membership community is 264,500 strong. Membership is open to all, with financial assistance available to those who cannot afford it. This year, the LA Y helped 1 out of 3 member families with financial assistance.   We cannot do our work alone, extending our work with over 200 community partners across the county, including schools, hospitals, clinics, cities and other civic organizations.

Capital Impact

At Capital Impact Partners, we look at a community and see what could be. We believe every community has the potential to be a healthy, vibrant place of opportunity. A place where people can live independently and yet their lives are inextricably bound as part of something bigger. A place where people have access to quality health care, healthy foods, and affordable housing. A place where families have many excellent choices in education. A place where people can age successfully and independently in support of one another.

City Year

City Year is an education-focused, nonprofit organization that partners with public schools to help keep students in school and on track to graduate. In communities across the United States and through two international affiliates, this innovative public-private partnership brings together teams of young AmeriCorps members who commit to a year of full-time service in schools. AmeriCorps members support students by focusing on attendance, behavior, and course performance through in-class tutoring, mentoring, and after school programs.
