The Kellyton graphite processing plant, using a patent pending purification method, will process raw flake graphite into battery-anode natural graphite materials for batteries that are used in electric vehicles, clean energy storage, electronics, and many other products. In addition, Westwater`s Coosa graphite deposit is the most advanced natural flake graphite deposit in the contiguous United States – located across 41,900 acres (~17,000 hectares) in Coosa County, Alabama, approximately 30-miles west of the Kellyton Plant. The Company began an exploration project in April 2021 to define the size and extent of both graphite and vanadium mineral concentrations at the Coosa graphite deposit and expects to complete a technical study over during 2022, with planned mining operations to begin in 2028.
