Our mission is to improve the health status of the residents and visitors to Franklin County, by providing quality, compassionate, cost effective and convenient health care through community leadership and in collaboration with other healthcare organizations which serve our communities. Serving residents and visitors in Franklin County Florida, George E. Weems Memorial Hospital wants you to know "Help is Here!" Though Franklin County is a rural area, you don't need to travel to a large urban hospital for care. The Emergency Department at Weems Hospital is well-equipped and open 24 hours a day, everyday. Should more invasive care become necessary, Weems Hospital has a fleet of ground ambulances with well-trained paramedics and EMTs. A helipad is located on site should emergency air transport be required. If you are having what you suspect is cardiac or pulmonary distress, Weems Emergency staff are ready to assist you within minutes. Recent studies show the average Weems patient is seen in the emergency room and released within one hour and fifty minutes of his/her coming through the hospital door. Our hospital also has 25 inpatient beds which are available for 23 hour extended observation, acute in-patient care and short-term skilled nursing care & rehabilitation.
