The roots of the Northern Pennsylvania Regional College begin with a group of four highly motivated and engaged professionals working with postsecondary education in Northern Pennsylvania. Dr. Richard McDowell, Dr. Fran Grandinetti, Ms. Deborah Pontzer, and Ms. Helene Nawrocki saw the need for accessible and affordable postsecondary options for young people and adults in the more rural areas of northern Pennsylvania. Senator Joseph Scarnati saw the value of these efforts and supported a feasibility study of postsecondary education needs in this region.
CUE is a boutique university, small enough that every student is essential yet large enough for a global outlook. In and out of our classrooms and lecture halls, we translate what we learn into extraordinary hands-on experiences. We live and work on a small campus, a river valley oasis, but Edmonton is our workshop. Our ultimate goal has not changed since 1921: to be more than students and professors, to create a community of active citizens, of good and honourable people. CUE offers over 45 majors and minors in Arts, Science and Management, as well as Master`s degrees in Information Security and Education, after degrees in Education and Public Health, and several graduate certificates and diplomas.
Coastal Carolina University is a comprehensive, public liberal arts institution in Conway, South Carolina. The University offers 73 major fields of study toward the baccalaureate degree, 22 master`s degree programs, two educational specialist degrees and two Ph.D. programs (coastal and marine systems science and education) across five academic colleges.
