Director of Human Resources
The Director of Human Resources directs and ensures the efficient administration and management of all human resources functions, including recruiting, training, wage/benefit administration, compliance with statuary requirements and the execution of the associate`s relation activities. This individual provides each department with the personnel, guidance, and support necessary to achieve their guest service and business objectives. This position reports to the Hotel General Manager as a member of the Executive Committee.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Staffing:Provide qualified candidates to meet operating needs by identifying staffing needs; manage the employment and selection process (including proactive recruitment effort within the established budget.)
• Compensation and Benefits: Manage compensation and benefit plans to ensure compliance with local law and company guidelines.
• Performance Management: Manage a performance appraisal system.Coach and counsel supervisors in effective implementation.Provide constructive feedback to staff and resolve existing performance problems for all staff.
• Training and Development:Coordinate in house training program with Corporate Human Resources function.
• Employee Communications: Manage internal employee communication program to provide accurate, timely, and relevant information to all staff, creating a sense of teamwork and fostering associate ownership of mission, objectives, and core values.
• Employee Relations: Maintain a positive relationship with all staff.Ensure consistent application of standards of conduct.Resolve associate concerns/grievances (including EEOC/NLRB/complaints.)Counsel associates on job-related issues, and monitor legal compliance.
• Organization and Job Design: Act as a consultant to managers to support the design of effective and efficient work units and jobs based on functional and organizational analysis.

Requirements:
• 5-7 years of Human Resources experience, with a minimum of two years at a management level.
• Bachelors Degree in Human Resources and/or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification desirable.
• Knowledgeable in employment law and other government compliance regulations.
• Ability to objectively coach team members and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
• Hotel and Hilton experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to research and analyze various different type of data information.
• Requires initiative to anticipate client needs and make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, procedures, regulation or law.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
