From the beginning we have always offered local businesses the ability to be listed in eLocal for free because we want to provide consumers with the most comprehensive source for finding local businesses online. There are a number of things that separate eLocal from other online directories, city guides and search sites. The most noticeable being that our site is extremely easy to use without all the typical online clutter. No pop-ups, no annoying flashing banner ads and no spammy unrelated advertising. Many of our competitors jam so much junk on the page it is hard to separate the content from the ads and the important from the unimportant. We only show you the information you want and need. We have also designed our business profiles to be full of useful information that is category specific. So, as you would expect, the information on a profile for a plumber is very different than the information for a doctor or hair salon. All businesses in the same category use the same profiles so it makes it easy to compare products and services across different businesses. It also makes it easier to find exactly what you`re looking for. Why wade through a list of 100 plumbers when you only want those plumbers that install water heaters, work weekends and accept Visa? We also pride ourselves on being accessible and responsive. Trying to reach many online companies is very challenging and frustrating.
