The idea of the company was born in Chriss mind several year earlier, when during an IT audit, the auditor commented on how he wished a number of their clients could have just a fraction of Chris in their bank to lead and manage their information security programs. Curious, Chris asked the auditor if that was even possible, and his reply was, "yeah, its called a virtual ISO." And although it took two years to make a reality, it was that conversation never left Chriss mind as a calling that he needed to fulfill.
