Transylvania County is located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, about half way between Asheville, North Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina. The county seat is Brevard, NC. The Transylvania County Courthouse, located in the heart of Brevard, is on the National Register of Historic Places. Transylvania County is called the Land of Waterfalls due to the 250 waterfalls located throughout the county. Whitewater Falls is the one of the highest waterfalls in the Eastern United States. Los Lunas is a village in Valencia County, New Mexico, United States. As of the 2010 census, the village population is 14,835 inside the village limits due to the new housing developments at El Cerro de Los Lunas (Huning Ranch).
