Mansfield City Schools also offers the following quality programs: National Board Certified Teachers, Mentoring for new teachers, programs for gifted students, athletic programs for grades 7-12, academic and service clubs, family resource coordinators, safe and appropriate Internet access is made available to every student and staff member, tuition reimbursement program for teachers, tuition vouchers from Ashland University, Mt. Vernon Nazarene College, Notre Dame College and The Ohio State University, Mansfield Campus, comprehensive library/media and technology programs, school-community liaison services connecting students and families to appropriate mental health and other social service providers. Mansfield City Schools is proud of its recent academic progress. In the past two years, our district has moved from academic emergency to continuous improvement on the State of Ohio Local Report Card, with Mansfield Senior High rated effective. This progress has been made possible by the hard work of our dedicated and capable staff. Each year our schools strive to ensure that graduating students are well prepared for success in college and the world of work. Mansfield City Schools, in partnership with the Ohio School Facilities Commission, opened a new state-of-the-art high school in the fall of 2004.
