Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CMO`s primary role is facilitate growth and increase sales with a comprehensive multi-channel plan to:
• support company sales and business development goals
• promote brand recognition and shape the company`s public profile
• help the organization gain a competitive advantage
He/She will be a business-minded marketer, ability to deliver against aggressive goals, be accountable for global team and thrive in a fast moving environment.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to think strategically about brand architecture, expand reach through rich content, including PR, social and acquisition programs, drive customer activation and retention campaigns, partner with product team to develop new programs, and evaluate results using deep analytical skills and a metrics driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead existing programs and support team growth, development and implementation of new initiatives
o Develop and manage to KPIs that reflect the goals of a complex organization
• Provide strategic leadership for brand architecture and positioning in a fast paced, rapidly evolving industry
• Establish a strong presence with executive team, showcasing marketing`s directly involvement to drive company goals and business objectives
o Connect dots and work collaboratively across product, design, bizdev and other teams
o Communicate regularly with all parts of the organization
• Clear understanding of Uphold`s unique USP and how the company fits into the current landscape; Communicate the company`s differentiating point, value add and ongoing positioning
• Lead strategy for client/customer growth, refine brand & deliver compelling messaging
• Increase earned media and unpaid traffic working with PR and marketing content team
• Expand a business analytics team that leverages data to improve business results
• Create and maintain a marketing reporting dashboard to continuously refine and improve lead generation efforts that support data-driven marketing decisions
• Provide direction and influence the support of design, development, and implementation of products and services lines
• Oversee and provide direction to market and competitor analysis
Background & Experience:
• 10+ years of successful track record as a marketing executive of a fast-growth company; Start up experience is preferable, a background in transforming a company`s marketing strategy is essential
• Success leading and growing a marketing organization ideally within a financial services or tech industry (ecommerce/mobile space)
• Deep understanding of current evolving fintech industry / financial services marketplace; Knowledge media landscape and key contacts
• Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product, and service management; Proven track record of exceeding aggressive goals
• Strong culture fit, a team first attitude
o Collaborative team leader and mentor, ability to effectively direct and bring remote/regional teams together
• Problem-solving attitude, ability to be proactive in environment with limited resources
• Effectively multitask in fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to explain complicated concepts to new audiences
