The Town of Littleton was founded in 1714 and is governed by an Open Town Meeting / Board of Selectmen / Town Administrator form of government. The Town provides general governmental services for the territory within its boundaries, including police and fire protection, solid waste transfer station, a library, street maintenance, and parks and recreational facilities. Water and electric services are supplied by the Town of Littleton Electric Light and Water Departments.
