Dr. Risley passed away in April 2013, but his passion for using technology to connect students and teachers lives on in everything we do. As part of his vision, WebAssign became an employee-owned benefit company in 2012, with the stated benefit of education. All company strategy and decisions are dedicated to promoting, supporting, and improving education and learning. Our Board of Directors includes practicing educators, and more than 40% of our employees have teaching backgrounds.
