Uintah Basin Technical College (UBTech) is the first and oldest technical college in the State of Utah. With over 40 programs in areas of medical, trades, business & industry, and energy services--there is something for everyone! UBTech specializes in hands-on, short-term training. Most programs take a year or shorter. UBTech also helps with job placement and only offers programs that have jobs available here in the Uintah Basin. Ready for a new career? The Board of Regents The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia was created in 1931 as a part of a reorganization of Georgia`s state government. With this act, public higher education in Georgia was unified for the first time under a single governing and management authority. The governor appoints members of the Board to a seven year term and regents may be reappointed to subsequent terms by a sitting governor. Today the Board of Regents is composed of 19 members, five of whom are appointed from the state-at-large, and one from each of the state`s 14 congressional districts. The Board elects a chancellor who serves as its chief executive officer and the chief administrative officer of the University System. The University System The University System of Georgia (USG), a part of the community in each of Georgia`s 159 counties, provides services across the state. The USG is composed of 26 higher education institutions including four research universities, four comprehensive universities, nine state universities and nine state colleges. The Georgia Public Library System, encompassing approximately 389 facilities in 61 library systems throughout Georgia, is also part of the USG. Additionally, the USG includes the Georgia Archives which identifies, collects, manages, preserves, publicizes, and provides access to records and information of Georgia and its people.
Student success is the focus and measure of everything we do. CWU educates students from all corners of the state. Our name is regional, but our students are not. Students choose CWU to avoid the anonymity of big schools. Our students live and learn on a close-knit campus in an historic college town. Classes are small enough that professors know students by name and engage them directly in research as undergraduates. Students choose CWU for programs that are among the best in the nation—geology, education, business, aviation, music, and accounting. They also choose CWU for programs that simply don`t exist anywhere else in the region—wine business, sports marketing, and paramedicine. Wildcats are everywhere. CWU reaches out to students across Washington state at campuses co-located with community colleges. Our dual admission program places students on track to complete a bachelor`s degree as soon as they are admitted into a Washington community college. CWU`s online virtual campus provides students of all ages and from all walks of life a chance to learn online.
