Founded in 1947, the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) represents family physicians, residents and medical students nationwide. It is the only medical society devoted solely to primary care. Our vision is to transform health care to achieve optimal health for everyone. Our mission is to improve the health of patients, families, and communities by serving the needs of our members with professionalism and creativity. In the increasingly fragmented world of health care where many medical specialties limit their practice to a particular organ, disease, age or sex, family physicians are dedicated to treating the whole person across the full spectrum of ages. Collective Change is a crowdfunding platform for nonprofits and social causes. Each month will focus on different category of charitable cause. At the beginning of every month, we ll put up several causes within that months category. You can check out your options and vote for your favorite. With your $15 annual membership, 12 of those dollars are funneled into a collective donation pool. $1 for each month. By doing this, each monthly donation represents the number of people who contributed to that cause. As our community grows, so do those monthly donations. Think about it! If a million people came together with just $1 each month, we will be raising a million dollars each month for a new cause!

La Casa de Esperanza, Inc. began in 1966 as History Builders, a small, high quality childcare center, whose goal was to create a smooth transition for children living in a totally Spanish-speaking environment, to the Public School District`s English speaking environment. In 2013, over 40 years later, La Casa continues to grow, with a passion for positive change. Since 1966, La Casa has expanded and now offers five fundamental programs. Our Education Programs include a thriving Early Childhood Education and School Age Education Program for the children and youth in our community. Workforce Development provides comprehensive employment assistance to low-income people seeking economic self-sufficiency.
Adelphoi is a system of five not-for-profit agencies that includes Adelphoi Village, Adelphoi Ketterer Charter School, Homes Build Hope, Adelphoi Education and Adelphoi Foundation. Adelphoi Village provides care and treatment to over 2,500 at-risk youth and families each year. Adelphoi Ketterer Charter School provides education to Adelphoi Village youth, along with students of local school districts. Homes Build Hope offers affordable housing to individuals and families in need. Adelphoi Education provides education services to youth who are struggling in the traditional classroom setting. Adelphoi Foundation serves as the conduit for all philanthropic support and manages a systematic program of donor stewardship. Together, these organizations form a wide continuum of services for those most in need in the community.
