The Inter-American Foundation (IAF), an independent U.S. foreign assistance agency of the United States government, invests in citizen-led grassroots development initiatives throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Created by Congress in 1969, the IAF responds directly to grassroots groups and the organizations that support them by extending grants that prioritize the hemisphere`s most disadvantaged people and further economic opportunities, more secure communities, social inclusion and participation in democratic processes. IAF grantee partners confirm their commitment by contributing in cash or in kind toward the success of their projects and by mobilizing resources to continue their impact. The IAF encourages partnerships with businesses, government and other community organizations directed at improving the quality of life for poor people and in strengthening democratic practices.

The Center for Disability Services offers hope, innovation and achievement to the people we support. For 75 years, we have been one of upstate New York`s largest providers of programs and services for individuals who have disabilities. Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere. The Center for Disability Services provides comprehensive Health Care, residential services, education, adult programming, service coordination and skilled nursing care to individuals with disabilities. In addition, we have a commercial printing, inserting, and mailing operation that is supported by a workforce of over 200 individuals with disabilities. Our annual budget is approximately $129 million dollars and we employ over 2,700 workers in over 80 locations. The Center also has a Foundation that supports many of the necessary services that are not funded by other sources.
