The Associated Students of Michigan State University (ASMSU) is the undergraduate student government at Michigan State University. We operate autonomously of the university and represent students and advocate for student issues at the university, municipal, state, and federal levels, often traveling to Lansing and Washington D.C. We are the center for Native scholarships. The American Indian Graduate Center and AIGCS are the largest scholarship providers to Native students in the U.S. We provide $15 million of funding annually to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students from 500 tribes in all 50 states, and have awarded over $200 million since inception. We actively collaborate with Tribes, corporations, foundations, government agencies, non-profits, and academic institutions to serve the scholarship needs of students as well as building a network of opportunities for them.
