Mr. Greens Produce was founded in 2003; In August 2011 it was purchased by Peter Politis with six employees and four vehicles in a rented 3000 sq. ft. facility in Allapattah. In 2012, the firm expanded to its own 14,000 sq. ft. facility near the produce market on NW 22nd Street. Mr. Greens Produce has been a big contributor of employment in Allapattah as its philosophy has been to hire local residents as well as military veterans.
