The New Jersey Energy Coalition works to educate the public about the need for energy policies that protect the environment, protect the ratepayer, and improve the state`s economy. Our focus includes advocacy for the license renewal of New Jersey`s nuclear power plants, the construction of more clean and affordable sources of baseload electricity, the upgrade and expansion of our transmission and distribution infrastructure, and the creation on an energy industry in New Jersey that generates jobs and economic development.
Serving San Diego County since 1880, San Diego Humane Society operates campuses in San Diego, Escondido and Oceanside. We offer San Diegans a wide range of programs and services that strengthen the human-animal bond, prevent cruelty/neglect, provide medical care, educate the community on the humane treatment of animals and provide safety net services for all pet families needing assistance with keeping their pets. MPP, which was founded in January 1995, is the largest organization in the U.S. that`s focused solely on ending marijuana prohibition. MPP`s mission is to change federal law to allow states to determine their own marijuana policies without federal interference, as well as to regulate marijuana like alcohol in all 50 states, D.C., and the five territories. MPP has been responsible for changing most major state-level marijuana policy reforms since 2000. MPP is actually composed of three separate organizations — MPP, founded in 1995, is the main branch that deals with lobbying and ballot initiatives; MPP Foundation, founded in 1996, is the tax-deductible educational branch; and MPP PAC, founded in 2003, is a branch that donates to congressional candidates.
