Fremont`s athletic programs are respected state-wide and many of its athletic facilities, including a newly-constructed natatorium, are models of excellence. Its Performing and Visual Arts programs (K-12) are recognized for their quality every year. Thanks to the support of the Fremont community, a newly constructed middle school was opened on January 19, 2012. Fremont City Schools achieved an Excellent rating on the State of Ohio District Report Card for the 2011-2012 school year.
