The first Discovery Place KIDS museum opened in Huntersville, N.C., in October 2010 and is the first in a planned network of regional children’s museums. A second Discovery Place KIDS opened in Rockingham, N.C., in February 2013. Motivis Learning was born out of the innovation lab at Southern New Hampshire University, which last year launched the competency-based College for America. The team which built the competency based learning platform for CfA is now developing the next-generation education platform for K-12 and higher education.
