The function
Reporting to the Senior Vice President Americas and the Executive Vice President Human Resources, the Human Resources Director Americas is responsible for establishing a professional HR organization in the Americas and to support the businesses in this region in achieving the business goals of Stork.
With more than one third of Stork’s global workforce the Americas region consists of operations in Colombia, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago and the US. The US has been identified as a key area for growth (500% over the next 3 years); the Human Resources Director will be based in Houston TX and will be responsible for all aspects of HR in this region.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Ultimately responsible for the direction and coordination of all HR activities in the Americas region
Responsible for building a professional HR organization, significantly growing the presence in the US, while integrating the already established Colombia business, in addition to Peru and Trinidad & Tobago
Ensure full HR integration of the former Stork organizations (RBG) in Trinidad & Tobago, Houston and Lafayette to comply with the Stork’s HR organizations’ policies and processes
Provide HR support and advice to the Stork leadership team as a senior HR business partner
Translate the Stork HR strategy in a regional implementation approach taking into account regional synergies
Lead the local HR manager and advisors in the countries of the Americas region
Develop and implement performance indicators and monitoring mechanisms together with corporate HR to ensure regional HR compliance
Significant travel in the first 6 months (up to 30%). After 6 months travel will be roughly 15%
