CharterCARE Health Partners, created through the affiliation of Roger Williams Medical Center and St. Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island, was formed to preserve and enhance quality health care for the communities we serve. In ending the traditional rivalry between our founding hospitals, CharterCARE’s formation also signals a milestone in the development of stronger, community-based hospital care in Rhode Island. We have replaced competition with active collaboration, and our goal is to reduce costs, strengthen our core clinical services, introduce new clinical initiatives and measurably increase access to health care for the community.
