Foundation HealthCare is a physician-centric development and management company of ambulatory surgery centers and surgical hospitals. Founded by Thomas A. Michaud in 1996, Foundation Healthcare has two wholly-owned subsidiaries: Foundation Surgery Affiliates, LLC and Foundation Surgical Hospital Affiliates, LLC. Foundation Surgery Affiliates (FSA) is an industry-leading ambulatory surgery center (ASC) management and development company focused on partnering with physicians and employees to create an outstanding patient experience while maximizing partner and shareholder value. We partner with physicians through investment in a minority ownership position, usually 10-40 percent, based on physician needs. We will manage the ASC for, and with, physicians. FSHA is healthcare management and development company that partners with physicians to develop and operate surgical hospitals. We specialize in ASC to surgical hospital conversions; surgical hospital acquisition opportunities; and new surgical hospital projects. We also focus on the development and inclusion of ancillary service lines, including hyperbarics, sleep labs, intraoperative monitoring and robotic surgery. FSHA assists facilities in reaching their clinical goals, improving patient satisfaction and monitoring financial performance — resulting in a fair return for the surgeon and hospital partners.
