Opportunity International is a global non-profit (with affiliates in the UK, Canada, Germany and Australia) celebrating over 50 years of equipping people with tools and business solutions to work their way out of poverty. Opportunity provides 18.7 million families with innovative financial resources, training, and support to grow their small businesses and send their children to school.
Goodwill of Southern Nevada, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides education, employment and training for people with disabilities and other special needs to maximize the quality of life for each individual served. We support our mission though a process called "The Cycle of Giving". This means that we take donations from local Nevadans, items such as clothes, home goods, furniture and more, and sell in in our retail stores, online, and to recyclers/salvage buyers. The funds generated through the sale of these donated items are then used to fund job training and placement programs for local adults, veterans, and youth. Additionally, we have an active fund development/grant department and several annual special events that support our programs as well.
