Anita Borg Institute programs inspire technical women, foster community and provide tools to help them develop their careers. ABI provides resources and programs that help industry, academia, and government recruit, retain, and advance technical women in computer science and engineering to meet the growing global need for technology workers and increase technological innovation. The Institute works with industry partners to make the global technology workplace more welcoming to women. The Anita Borg Institute is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 charitable organization.
The California Gang Investigator`s Association was founded in 1977 to foster better relationships and networking among the various investigative units working street gangs in Los Angeles County and throughout the state of California. Over the years the Association has grown to include members across the nation and in Australia and Canada. Membership is limited to all law enforcement officers including corrections, prosecutors, parole, and probation. The Association interacts with fellow Gang Investigator`s Associations across the country to assist in a coordinated approach to gang investigations, training, and to foster exchanges of information. The Association strives to better serve the needs of law enforcement by providing quality gang training that will assist members in the performance of their duties in a professional and ethical manner. It is the hope of the Association that through professional and pertinent training our membership will be better prepared to meet the challenges presented by street gangs. While the solution to the street gang problem remains elusive it will only be found after a thorough examination of all aspects of the phenomenon. The Association supports this examination and provides a forum for investigators to exchange ideas in order to provide a wide ranging base of knowledge to contribute toward a solution.

The Convergent Research team helps incubate and launch Focused Research Organizations, a new model to fill gaps in the R&D ecosystem to tackle global challenges as Schmidt Futures Network`s first initiative. At Convergent Research we launch large-scale, high-impact science projects. We aim to help fill a structural gap in today`s R&D system. We enable fundamental research that requires unusual levels of scale and coordination yet is not rapidly monetizable by industry.
