Since its founding 140 years ago, YWCA Metropolitan Chicago has been committed to serving the needs of women and girls. The YWCA`s mission to eliminate racism and empower women is actualized through a large breadth of programs and services. Regardless of race or economic status, the YWCA provides women with the support and tools they need to transform their lives, to be confident in their choices and to make valuable contributions to their communities. The YWCA`s Core programmatic areas include: Economic Empowerment Services, Sexual Violence Support Services, and Early Childhood Services. The YWCA serves over 200,000 women, children and families annually through these programs. And while the YWCA`s services are broad and varied, they are linked by a common thread—a dedication to promoting racial justice and personal empowerment.

By uniting over 138,000 engineers and technical experts, we drive knowledge and expertise across a broad spectrum of industries. We act on two priorities: encouraging a lifetime of learning for mobility engineering professionals and setting the standards for industry engineering. While hundreds of organizations in Chicago do fantastic work serving our city`s children and youth, to achieve substantial and sustainable improvement in critical outcomes, will require an unprecedented level of collective action. To date, Thrive Chicago has brought together 600 individuals representing nearly 200 child and youth serving organizations to accomplish the shared objective of supporting Chicago youth from “cradle-to-career.” As a collective impact initiative, Thrive engages a diverse group of leaders from the nonprofit, business, government, education and philanthropy sectors working toward one common agenda: to prepare all Chicago youth for a vibrant future.
