The Orange Bowl Committee is a nonprofit sports organization that promotes and serves South Florida. The Orange Bowl will promote championship sporting events, related premier entertainment, and other year-round activities to inspire youth, engage our community, and enhance the South Florida economy.
Founded in 1954, the Ivy League is the most diverse intercollegiate conference in the country with more than 8,000 student-athletes competing each year. Sponsoring conference championships in 33 men`s and women`s sports and averaging more than 35 varsity teams at each school, the Ivy League provides more intercollegiate athletic opportunities per school than any other conference in the country. All eight Ivy schools are among the top 20 of NCAA Division I schools in number of sports offered for both men and women. The Ivy League annually finishes among the top conferences in the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics competitive rankings and enjoys regular competitive success at the highest championship levels of collegiate athletics, including team and individual national championships in women`s cross country, men`s and women`s fencing, field hockey, men`s ice hockey, men`s and women`s lacrosse, men`s and women`s rowing, men`s and women`s squash, men`s and women`s swimming & diving, men`s and women`s indoor and outdoor track & field and wrestling. Ivy League student-athletes annually compile the country`s best marks in the NCAA`s Academic Performance Ratings and Graduation Success Rates under the Ivy League model of athletics as a key part of their overall undergraduate experience. Ivy student-athletes grow from their athletics experiences to become national and community leaders across the spectrum of 21st century life in business and technology, law and government, medicine and research, and professional sports and entertainment.

The Big 12 is in its 19th year as it continues to promote the strength and success of one of the nation`s premier athletic conferences under the direction of third-year commissioner Bob Bowlsby. TCU and West Virginia joined the league on July 1, 2012 and became the Big 12`s first additions since inception, joining Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and Texas Tech. With 10 members, the Big 12 remains as the only major conference in the nation to determine its champions in all sports directly on the field of play with a full round-robin schedule. The Big 12 and its member institutions are committed to a competitive environment where sportsmanship and fair play take center stage. Whether on the field, in the classroom, or within the community, the student-athletes, administrators, coaches and game officials of the Big 12 support the highest ideals in sportsmanship. All-Big 12 teams and Academic All-Big 12 squads are recognized for each sport at the end of their respective seasons. The Big 12 sponsors 23 sports. Men`s squads include baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, indoor track & field, outdoor track & field, swimming & diving, tennis and wrestling. Women`s teams are fielded in basketball, cross country, equestrian, golf, gymnastics, indoor track & field, outdoor track & field, rowing, soccer, softball, swimming & diving, tennis and volleyball. Big 12 institutions create a league that encompasses five states and nearly 38 million people. Nearly 5,000 student-athletes from across the United States and around the World compete annually in the sports sponsored by the Conference. The Conference conducts postseason championships for 20 of its 23 sports. Each championship helps to determine teams and/or individuals that will represent the Conference in national postseason competition.
